Coloring Easter Eggs

Becky and Sony came to visit for Easter. They got to enjoy coloring eggs with the girls! It was very entertaining to watch. Allison mostly ran around and looked at the eggs every once and a while.

Easter Egg Hunt at the Preschool

Emily's Preschool had a mini egg hunt in her classroom. Emily made her sack with paint and she was very proud of it. Allison even got to participate- as if we could hold her back!

Enjoying Spring

The weather was nice so we decided to take the girls out to enjoy it! We had a picnic at the Garden of the Gods. We had to eat in the back of the car because there were no picnic tables. Then, we let the girls run around on the rocks. It was a little hard for Allie so we had to carry her most of the time. Emily loved running on the rocks in her skirt. She always wants to wear skirts now so that's why we play on rocks in skirts- she wants it that way!

March Basketball

For the month of March our gym had a bambino basketball league for kids 2-6. It was boys and girls mixed together so we decided to let Emily try basketball. You had to do it with a parent so Michael got to have some fun with her. He loves basketball so he hopes one of the girls will too. Emily did very well at running the drills. She had no trouble keeping up with, and in most cases, beating the boys at the games they played. The classes focused on drills and basketball skills to get the kids comfortable on the court. Emily really enjoyed herself and learned a little about basketball and Michael loved getting to share his favorite sport with her.

My 30th Birthday

On February 24th, I turned 30. I had a nice spa day with my mom and mom-in-law. Then we ate at the hibachi grill with the rest of the family and had cake and ice cream. It was a great birthday and I'm very thankful that I have such a great family! I'm looking forward to my 30s. :)

While Callie was here she wanted to spend some time in the snow. Michael and his dad took the girls to Helen Hunt Falls and they got their fill of it! We also went swimming at our health club. The girls had a great weekend together.

Emily's 3rd Birthday

Emily had a very busy birthday week! I think that we definitely gave her a very special day to celebrate turning 3. She got to take cupcakes to school and all of her friends sang happy birthday. On the day of her birthday, we went to Denver and visited the American Girl store. She got a doll for herself named Emily. She's actually one of the historical dolls. She is Molly's best friend. Emily loves to take her new doll everywhere. She even sleeps in a cradle that my great grandpa Eli made for me when I was little next to Emily's bed. They even have some matching outfits and Em loves that! After the American girl store, we went to the airport to pick up my mom and her cousin Callie. She had no idea Callie was coming for the weekend. It was an awesome birthday surprise- thanks mom! Then, we had a party at the house for her. Her request for birthday food was hot dogs and pink cake. She got what she asked for! She had an awesome day and I'm so thankful that my mom, Callie, and Michael's parents came to celebrate with us. :)

Allie ran around the store the entire time we were there. Michael's dad just followed her around.

We got the doll's hair fixed like Emily's. This was her favorite part of the experience.

After the store, we ate lunch at the cheesecake factory. They had a high chair

 for the doll so she even got to join us.

I kept telling Emily that Grandma was bringing a surprise and she kept

 telling me it was drumsticks- pretty random idea! Anna thought that was

funny so she made sure that she got some drumsticks.

I made her a pink and purple castle cake. The inside was pink too so she loved it. :)
