Vacation Bible School

Emily spent the 3rd week of June at Vacation Bible School. She had a blast! Her new favorite thing to tell me is that "Jesus is in your heart"- totally melts my heart when she says it! She had a concert at the end of the week. She sang the songs loudly and we could definitely hear her voice some of the time! The concert was so cute and she's been talking about non-stop since it's been over.

Michael's 6th Father's Day

We had a nice father's day at home. We got Michael a few gifts but the girls' favorite was the cookie cake that said, "world's greatest dad". The icing was very blue and the girls looked like smurfs for a few hours after eating it. We were so thankful to be able to celebrate this year with him because next year he will be in Afghanistan for father's day. :( Michael's been an amazing father to all 3 of our girls and I feel like we need more than one day to show him how thankful we are for all of the love he gives and the sacrifices he's made for us.

Texas in June

For the first few weeks of June, the girls and I drove down to Texas by ourselves. Michael came and joined us the last few days to drive back with us. We planned the trip to go home and visit family and friends but most importantly to meet the girls' new cousin, Colson. We got to babysit Colson while Cade and Callie were at swim class. All 4 of us really enjoyed getting to love on him!

The kids were so excited to go to Schlitterbahn. Michael, Anna, and I took the four oldest for the day. We had a blast and the kids were very adventurous and listened well- a rarity for this bunch! We kept the floaties on them all day and they were able to swim around and ride on some rides. We had a kiddie pool pretty much to ourselves, that's where the pics were taken. So the adults actually got to sit and watch them play- we rarely get to do that!

Crazy Times at the Jumpy Place

Their friend Jordan joined us there. She was smart enough to stay away
from the crazy people in the jumping castles!

Bryson had a good time and definitely wore himself out!

Cousin Time!

The kids love playing with their cousins and we got in lots of cousin time this trip! It's starting to get a little chaotic when we're all together. It's a lot of little ones!! If Rachel were still alive the ages of the kids would be 6,5,4,3,2,1 & baby. (Rachel would be the 5 year old)There is also another on the way in August so we're in for some more fun! Mom and dad enjoy them but they can make some big messes. :)
They love to ride around on grandpa's fork lift- it's getting a little crowded!

Colson just takes everything in
This is the best of the group pics

Allison wanted no part in the grandaughter picture

She was willing to say "cheese" later though!

Hanging with Craig

Some of the kids that we play with when we're home were Rachel's friends. Craig was just 3 weeks older than Rachel and they use to play together so it's fun for us to see Craig play with Emily and Allison. Emily has no trouble keeping up with older kids so Craig had some fun too. I did notice he kept calling her Rachel. I think he's still a little confused to see us with kids other than her.

Visit with Mimi

While we were home we visited Michael's grandmother, Mimi, in College Station, TX. She is 95 years old but very sharp and still manages to get around very well so you'd never know that was her age. The girls love playing at her house and spending time with her. They also got to meet Michael's cousin Paige and her daughter, Grace. Poor Grace was followed around 2 days by Emily!

Playtime at Landa Park

No trip home would be complete without several trips to Landa Park! The kids had so much fun riding the train, playing on the playground, and feeding the ducks.
Bryson loves riding on the "choo-choo"!

These two always have  to sit together

The grandpas were a big help!
