"All Done"

Rachel went to live with Jesus at about 4:40 this morning, free from pain and cancer. Rachel may you finally rest in peace. We can all hear you saying "all done." We love you sweet girl and we all thank God for our short time with you.

  1. Mike and Amy,

I am so sorry to hear about Rachel as I'm reading from miles away and feeling helpless. I just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you and praying for you. You probably know more than I ever will about God's peace that passes all our understanding. Life is precious no matter how long or short. Rachel has taught us so much in such a short time and I thank God for the time you were able to share. It doesn't make the loss any easier I know but wanted you to know that we love you and pray God's comfort for the entire Jost Family. Thank you for being so open and constant on your posts. You are our inspiration.

  30. I saw a link to this blog on Cassie Montag's facebook site and my heartstrings were pulled. I read your entire blog in the last day. Your daughter was absolutely beautiful. I was reading the words but just couldn't see the diagnosis on her face. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Rachel got her wings and now Emily will always be looked after by her big sister.

  31. Amy & Michael - Though I don't know you personally, I taught with Penny a few years ago. You may know of me. I'm Greyson's mom. Grey died just over a year ago from Krabbe Disease. If there is any type of support that I can offer you, as a mom who has gone through what you're about to face, please let me know. My email is nicnbill@gvtc.com. You can also get to me through Grey's site, www.greysgift.com. I will continue to think of and pray for your family. You'll get through this.

  32. "I heard a voice from Heaven say, "Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. "Yes," said the Spirit, "let them find rest from their labors, for their works will accompany them."" Rev. 14:13
Rachel, although only here for a short while takes many works with her. She opened eyes and hearts to God's glory, she inspired many to find the strength that she had, and because of her many prayed in unity and those prayers strengthened the Body of Christ. Please know that your family has been and will continue to be in our prayers. May our Heavenly Father wrap His arms of Mercy around you during this time and may you find peace in knowing that your sweet little girl now plays with angels under the watchful eye of her Mother Mary.
